“The development and delivery of the JumpStart program has catapulted the Levin Institute into a leadership position as an agent of economic transformation in New York City. Levin’s JumpStart is a replicable model that colleges nationwide can use to increase their economic and community impact.”  -- Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher, State University of New York

JumpStart NYC is a three-month educational program to help mid-career professionals apply their knowledge, skills, and experience as they seek employment.  JumpStart NYC is open to unemployed professionals with a college degree and who reside in New York City.

One of Mayor Bloomberg’s initiatives to boost the New York City economy, JumpStart NYC has successfully helped participants develop new skills, sample the environment at small entrepreneurial companies/non-profits, build new career networks, and explore project opportunities in New York’s entrepreneurial firms and arts organizations.

JumpStartNYC was initiated by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC).  Its courses, events, and seminars were developed by The SUNY Levin Institute.

We invite you to watch this introductory video about our program if you are interested in joining the program, or if you’re a NYC-based small company, to find out how to put this talent network to work for you by bringing highly-skill professionals into your company for a short consulting engagement.
