Accelerated Leadership Program

In July 2007, Levin entered into a collaborative partnership with IBM to launch an innovative executive education program called, ALeaP--Accelerated Leadership Program. Essentially, ALeaP is a customized executive development program created to assist IBM's Greater China organization build its next cohort of leaders. The pedagogy for the program is based on a modular approach that leverages IBM's executive development philosophy of "leaders teaching leaders" and Levin's extensive experience working in and knowledge of the Chinese business and technology environment.

The first module, which was held in Armonk, New York, at IBM's Learning Center, brought together a world class Levin faculty with several of IBM's most senior executives to provide new tools and analytic perspectives to the program participants about the leadership skills needed to drive winning business around the world.

The second module, held in Shanghai in October 2007, focused on strategic thinking and mastering the Chinese business environment.

The entire project is distinguished by the close, intimate collaborative style of the Levin-IBM team; the innovative curriculum reflects the integration of the accumulated lessons from IBM's global business activities along with insights into the winning solutions that selected multinational firms have discovered in establishing a successful presence in Greater China. Dr. Denis Simon, Provost of the Levin Institute, is the Faculty Director for the ALeaP Program.
